So I don't know about you but as far as the American president hopefuls I'd have to say Barack Obama undoubtedly is the shining star that could help the mighty US of A bounce back out of its slump. Big shout out to Barack for breathing some life and passion back into the presidential race. Finally somebody who knows how to give a speech and has a promising plan for change.
Peep DJ Extremidiz with Shabazz in the new video "Brooklyn Niggaz." I watched it once and didn't even notice he was in it figuring how the hell his white ass gonna be in a video called "Brooklyn Niggaz" until Inz mentioned he saw him in it. I had to rewatch it and sure enough the one lone cracka ass cracka in the shot. Hahaha sickness BIG UPS BOI!!

*Scratch, scratch* It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you... If you haven't downloaded my new mixtape Vast Expansion- Episode 1 then get on it! Keep in mind every track on it is 5 or so years old with the exception of "the last girl" which is a couple years old but it wouldn't make sense to unleash the new shit on ya without giving you some of the back catalogue. The plan is to put out some of the tracks from the vault and eventually work up to the new stuff.
Big ups to the producers who hit me with beats over the years that made the mix. The only cat who didn't make the cut is my boi D-Digital because basically all the songs we've done together are too hot to be included on this one. Coming soon though truuuuust me.

I've been going through some old stuff and found an old track I did with Inz on the beat- Some of the songs I've dug up are ones I totally forgot about and it's nice to hear them again... I'm loving these lyrics. The recording isn't bad too considering it was done on my old Yamaha MD4 four track and with a Shure SM58.

His new disc "Once Again" is in my CD alarm clock so I wake up to it every day and still play it here and there on my Archos and yet I am still not tired of it. "Get Lifted" is really the same way for me- a truly amazing artist.

Encore- The Layover: ***
I ordered this CD because I heard the song "The Shizm" on a Heiroglyphics podcast and loved it. It has a nice laid back vibe with a few street bangers that pop up throughout. Encore doesn't fall into the typical played out insincere thugizm trap or try to water his style down for mainstream appeal. Overall the CD is well worth the money.

Saafir- Good Game- The Transition: **1/2
I found the track "Cash Me Out" on a free download website and have always dug Saafir so I figured I should support that real west coast shit and pick up his new offering. Unfortunately I probably should have picked an older LP cuz the rest of the album is not quite as badass as "Cash Me Out" in my opinion. Not wack by any means but not mind blowing either.

Pumpkin Head- Orange Moon Over Brooklyn: ****
Out of the three new CD's I ordered this was by far the best. Hilarious interludes, sick beats by Marco Polo (gya whiteboi Canadian in the house!) and every track is noteworthy.

I would have to say it has been a pretty good week! My boi James hooked me up with four tickets to a Giants playoff game on Friday which was a wicked guys night out. Sushi, beers and hockey equals =). Thanks for all the ticket hook ups this year James!

Okay so I seriously lucked out and my friend Lia got tickets to game 7 of the 'Nucks VS Dallas Stars- thank you Lia you rule! I was a bit worried because I have been on a bad roll with sports as of late and the last Canucks game 7 I went to was no good (Minnesota Wild). So the game started off not so good with Dallas scoring first *stomach sinking* but luckily things got much better and we ended up winning 4-1 wooot WOOT! It ended up being the best game I have ever gone to and by luck probably the best game of the season.

And now Crocop what is this world coming to? My heart sunk when I saw that and this is twice in one month! Hahaha, oh well at least Matty and I finally finished our new track "This is my microphone." I was watching Jarhead and came up with the idea to use the soldier's pledge to their gun as a pledge to my mic and form a track around it and this is what came of it. My boi Brian produced the beat and it is seriously noice... he is also a wicked singer and is in a reggae/ ska band http://profile.myspace.com/phattyphattyandtheroaches and I'm hoping to get a track going with him singing the hooks soon.

This hurts, this is painful but I gotta give it to Matt Serra. Damn I wanted to see GSP defend the title at least a few times but it was definitely a stylish and smart win. Good to see Matt is a good hearted guy as well and I'm hoping he beats the living piss out of that farm boy he is fighting next hahaha. Here's to GSP returning better than ever... if anybody can do it he can! Oh ya and WTF was up with Diego? He psyched himself out hahaha doh.

Uploaded a new collage of songs entitled "The New West" which includes this crazy ass beat Inz and I made a couple weeks ago, "Coco Butta" which I produced, "I didn't mean to" with Nathan V produced by yours truly and "Stand Off" produced by Inz. Give it some spins and hit me with some comments.

Bangin' out some new beats with Inz in the studio this weekend. Should be some new ones posted on my "Need beats" page. Next week we'll be adding the next verse to his new track which I have tentatively titled (without his consent I might add haha) "When Inz Drop" which is a beat that I produced and Matty dropped the bass line on it. One of those beats that I was kind of into when I made it but Inz jumped on it and now I'm like damn, that beat is kinda' badass. Hahaha sometimes it takes somebody else going crazy for a track before I realize how sick it is. Luckily he's killin' it but if he don't hurry up and finish his verses he's gonna be sent the final version with Whiteplainz and Midnite Matinee spittin' on the last verse. =P That'll learn ya!

I played him this new beat I made he started freestylin' the hook and BLAM! "I didn't mean to" was born. Just finishing up the rough mix on my last verse.

This is really one of my first ventures into video production so forgive the low quality look of it all. At least it gets the point across and gives some visuals for the music. I just finished making a little promotional video thingy. It's posted on my Myspace page so have a look. This is really one of my first ventures into video production so forgive the low quality look of it all. At least it gets the point across and gives some visuals for the music. I'll update it and improve certain little problems with it in time.
